- Hi everyone. My name is Masar Sakr. I am a Mechanical Engineering major and a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh and I plan to get a minor in computer science. Although I am not a political science major (there are no jobs with that degree, actually, there are no jobs period at the moment) I have an ear, a mind, and strong opinions on many topics which I will write about and give support for on this blog. I will also write about some of my interests, such as music, sports: mainly basketball, football, baseball, (the only real sports according to my favorite comedian George Carlin) and sometimes soccer, and random things that I see throughout my day. My parents were both born in Lebanon (although my mom would have been born in Palestine if it was not for Al-Nakba), they were the ones who taught me about politics and where I'm from and the struggle of the Palestinians since 1948. Other influences include but are not limited to Noam Chomsky, Edwards Said, and As'ad AbuKhalil. So read, enjoy, feel free to comment, and feel free to email me at arab.renegade89@gmail.com
