- Hi everyone. My name is Masar Sakr. I am a Mechanical Engineering major and a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh and I plan to get a minor in computer science. Although I am not a political science major (there are no jobs with that degree, actually, there are no jobs period at the moment) I have an ear, a mind, and strong opinions on many topics which I will write about and give support for on this blog. I will also write about some of my interests, such as music, sports: mainly basketball, football, baseball, (the only real sports according to my favorite comedian George Carlin) and sometimes soccer, and random things that I see throughout my day. My parents were both born in Lebanon (although my mom would have been born in Palestine if it was not for Al-Nakba), they were the ones who taught me about politics and where I'm from and the struggle of the Palestinians since 1948.
